Successful management of soft tissue in GBR procedures applying a novel regenerative acellular matrix.

The objective of this Live-OP and Hands-on workshop is to present a GBR treatment planning in detail and to provide the dentist with an evidence-based overview and guide for predictable and successful management of soft tissue in GBR. The different phases of GBR will be explained and discussed. Also innovative and practical surgical techniques and new materials e.g., NovoMatrix for the regeneration of various defects will be presented.

Learning objectives

Understand the flap design for GBR. The rationale for flap management in simultaneous GBR approach will be covered (incision, flap release, etc).

Get familiar with a new acellular dermal matrix and how it can be used as a biologic membrane for soft tissue management in these guided bone regeneration procedures.

Understand the simultaneous effect of soft and hard tissue regeneration in utilizing a novel acellular dermal matrix as membrane.

Learn how to proceed to obtain a tension-free suture.
